Co-production of welfare services:
education and social assistance policy in Poland after 1989
Ryszard Szarfenberg – PhD in the field of political science, as a university professor he works at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies (since 1992), head of the Social Assistance and Social Integration Laboratory (2011-2019), member of the Department of Methodology of Political Science. Author of numerous publications on social policy, public policy, social services, evaluation, European and international social policy, inequalities, poverty, marginalisation and social exclusion, as well as social assistance and social cooperatives. Author of the book “Krytyka i affirmacja polityki społecznej” (” Critique and affirmation of social policy”), for which he received an award from the Committee of Labour and Social Policy Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the best scientific work published in 2008.
